Age Group: 2 to 5 years | Sizes: 12" & 14"
The main goal of Supercat bicycle project was to push the boundaries of existing consumers experience through visual aesthetics along with playfulness, animal friendly & joyful nature.
Design Process
This project started with understanding existing products in on going market and their engagement.
Several research and interviews were conducted to gain insights about consumer behaviour, needs and existing competitors like Hero Cycles Ltd. & Avon Cycles Ltd. A collection of insights was generated
for design development process and implementation.
Concept behind the Supercat
A cute fluffy kitty is something that kids can relate to. This idea has been explored in the “Supercat” bicycle concept where the form, components, graphics, colour have been rigorously ideated and implemented
in the same spirit.
Explorations of Form
The challenge was designing the Supercat bike and to create something unique and innovative for the consumer. To overcome this design requirement a vast amount of idea generation, sketching and refinement for further development of the idea needed to be done, to generate the unique design.
Form Transition
Conceptualization
Once a form was chosen from sketches I begun the process of refining the design. Using methods of Graphic softwares like photoshop, Illustrator & CAD to iterate many different variations of minute details until got a unique product. Also the stage to focus on details and to play with different accessory compositions.
