Project Brief
The concept of the game was to develop a group play for three children. The game is based on storytelling and has a particular time limit for starting the story according to the card’s image. If the children are able to start the stories according to the cards at a particular time, then they can put their animal on each particular block.
If he/she does not start the story at a particular time then the chance goes to the next player and they can start their story according to the cards. In a particular time limit whoever tells the highest number of stories and collects the highest no. of pieces from the animal kingdom on a particular box, will be the winner of the game.
Research
Children can create stories based on their imaginations. I designed & tested various cards with characters who are enemies and friends. I asked the targeted age group to create stories from given cards (e.g. why tiger and lion are enemies, why dog and human are friends etc.) and they came up with some imaginary stories. They have special thinking capabilities than a young man or older. I noticed that for every story, they need 25-60 seconds time to think.
Conceptualization
After all of my user studies, I made a concept of the game and a rough model which can be played by three children. This game is based on a storytelling nature and it has a particular time limit for starting the story according to the images of the cards. If children are able to start the stories according to the cards on a particular time limit then he/she can put his animal on each particular area. If he/she does not start a story at a particular time then the chance goes to the next one and he/she can start his/her stories according to the cards. In the particular time limit who makes the highest stories and collecting the highest animal kingdom in the particular area, he/she will be the first winner of the game.
